Specific Qualifications:

● The Daycare Coordinator oversees the program planning, working effectively with staff, families and children, and connecting with the community.

● Oversees the administrative responsibilities related to the day to day operations of the day care centre

● Create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for all children.

● Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

● Collaborate with team members to integrate diverse programming into daily routines

● Monitor and assess children's development and provide feedback to parents

● Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and safety standards

● Their primary duties include recruiting and training staff

● Promoting the childcare centre

● Assisting in managing its financial

● Order supplies and equipment

●Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Job Requirements:

- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in management & or position related to supervision

- Education Considerations: (Not required but helpful) Program Administration, ECD Level Two or Three, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and or Certificate in Administration and or Management

- Experience Considerations: (Required) Management References, Training/ or Certifications that pertain to Management

- Valid driver’s license

– Class 5

- Child Welfare Check (Vulnerable Sector Check)

- Criminal Record Check (Required upon successful hiring)

- The successful candidate must provide this upon the first day of employment

- Must be able to take training/ certification as required

- Must be able to ensure Daycare deliverables are being performed as per program policy Samson Cree Nation Employment Opportunity

- An understanding of the Maskwacis Cree Language and Miyo Opakiniwasowin.
