SUMMARY: Neyaskweyak Group of Companies Inc. (NGCI) is a corporation owned by Ermineskin Cree Nation based on the fundamental principles of achieving self-sufficiency and sustainability through long term investments and business development. NGCI is currently accepting applications for an ambitious and energetic VP Business Development to assist in the development, implementation, and execution of new and existing businesses. To build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Our goal is to drive sustainable growth through business intelligence and sound operational planning. This person reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and Financial Controller. The VP Business Development is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of the business development functions of the company. The VP Business Development will play a senior role in the development of the Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc.’s business strategy with important duties and responsibilities that will lead to achievement of both short and long-term goals. The VP Business Development will assist in the management, development, and coordination of other companies and partnerships within the portfolio of companies and including joint ventures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the President/CEO of Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc., the VP Business Development performs the following services within the framework of Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies Inc.’s core policies, functions and bylaw: Strategy and Development Works closely with the CEO of Neyaskweyahk Group of Companies in contributing to the creation and implementation of best practice, vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid in the development of a sound economic and business development strategies for NGCI. Undertakes the preparation and implementation of a business development strategic action plan. Business Development Services Provides overall coordination and oversight for the implementation of various projects and activities that are contained in the business develop work plan or as assigned. Oversees and participates in writing business concept designs, business plans, proposals, or feasibility studies. Provides due diligence on business analytics including conducting research, analysis, planning, and evaluation of various business opportunities or economic projects Funding Services Conducts research, prepares proposals, and completes final reports for potential funding or grants for business development, economic initiatives, or joint ventures on behalf of NGCI. Relationship Management Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance the economic and business interests of NGCI. Project Management Oversees that design of various business development projects that include identifying the project scope, financial management, timelines, key activities and deliverables, and milestones as requested Performs other related job duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Post-Secondary Degree in Business Management, Commerce or Finance • 5 – 10 years of experience in Business Development • 3 – 5 years business experience in Marketing and Accounting • A combination of education and/or experience will be considered

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES: • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Excellent computer and written (reports / briefing notes) skills • Excellent Interpersonal Skills – Developing and building positive relationships with professionalism • Documented track record of success in prospecting and closing skills. • Personal Attributes: Aggressive, Motivated, and energetic self-starter • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and prospects • Goal and results driven and meeting target goals • Able to follow through and complete tasks on time • Proven track record to manage projects effectively and market knowledge • Territory Management experienced
