Maskwacis Health Services (MHS) Personnel Department is accepting resumes for casual clerks for the Medical Transportation Department to provide relief coverage. You must be able to work, days, evenings, nights, weekends & Statutory Holidays

• Able to meet security clearance requirements for access to Medical Transportation Record System (MTRS).
• Excellent communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of computer software and applications.
• Knowledge of general office practices
• Ability to work with the public, employees, and service providers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to take & follow directions; Ability to work well alone & in a team setting with minimum supervision.
• Punctual & reliable
• Ability to follow policy & procedures and ensure they are implemented in a fair and consistent manner.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand maps, directions.
• Ability to operate two-way radio/dispatching equipment.

Registered Nurse (RN) (Home Care)

Who You Are Maskwacis Health Services Home Care is looking for a qualified RN to join the health services team, the successful candidate shall work with children that have long term disabilities, families, women preparing for childbirth; seniors in good health; elders whose ability to function independently is diminishing; disadvantaged individuals or groups; community organization. The RN will counsel and advise clients, individuals, families, and community on all public health. RN’s are required to work as part of the MHS Team.
• Assess the needs of individuals, families, or communities throughout the lifespan.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care.
• Coordinate culturally appropriate patient care.
• Ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direct nursing care, manage, lead, and supervise nursing teams.
• Develop/ provide input to the creation of culturally appropriate health education resources.
• Conduct home visits to provide individual and family support, health teaching, follow up care, disease management.
• Visit and provide health care services to new mothers and elderly patients.
• Advocate for the client and community for the purpose of improving access to health care services and resources.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Member of a professional regulatory body for registered nurses.
• Certification in Community Nursing through the Canadian Nurses Association.
• Knowledge of First Nations communities.
• Proven experience in building working relationships with First Nations communities and partners.
Other Requirements
• Possess valid Class 5 AB driver’s license and own or access to a vehicle.
• Willingness and ability to work after hours and/or weekends when required.
• Successful completion of First Aid.
• Willing to work flexible schedule.
• Must provide and possess a clear criminal record vulnerable sector check.
• Ability to speak and/or understand the Cree language (or another applicable First Nation language) would be beneficial.

Maskwacis Health Services Home Care is looking for two (2) qualified LPNs to join the health services team, the successful candidates will collaborate with health members to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families. The LPN works to the full scope of the practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standard sand the Mission, Vision, Values and policies and procedures of Maskwacis Health Services:
• Assess and provide treatments and make referrals.
• Prevent/treat injury/illness.
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments of residents and patients.
• Follow standards of cleanliness and safety
• Documents patient care observations and activities according to professional standards and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• LPN experience
• IV therapy experience would be considered an asset.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an LPN or similar role. .

• Uses clinical skills and knowledge to provide direct client care in wound care clinic and Home Care settings.
• Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team for service planning and delivery.
• Provides direct comprehensive care to residents with specialized and complex needs.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in nursing with Nurse Practitioner designation in Family-All ages or NP-Adult
• Registered and in good standing with CARNA, no license restrictions.
• DCA Certification an asset.
• Knowledge of First Nations communities.
• Proven experience in building working relationships with First Nations communities and partners.
