SUMMARY
This position is responsible for receiving requests for service or emergency assistance and relaying information to Samson Peacekeepers or other surrounding Emergency Services. Under the direction of the Peacekeepers Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Relay emergency information to other emergency services (R.C.M.P.)
· Answer and log all telephone requests.
· Transmit information to Security personnel via radio.
· Maintain work records and prepare reports (eg. Accident reports, complaint forms, submit incident reports to immediate Supervisor/Manager).
· Keep records and logs to document all radio submissions and phone calls.
· Work shifts, holidays, weekends and office closures.
· Must also be willing to work overtime or extra shifts occasionally.
· Work requires sitting for long periods of time but also include hourly foot patrols (interior/exterior) of CTA building.
· Keep office area clean and tidy.
· Work closely with Emergency Services. (eg. Fire Hall, RCMP, EMS)
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum Grade 12 or GED.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to listen to incoming requests for service and dispatch services at the same time.
· Must be willing to do shift work.
· Security Training and/or License is a definite asset.
· The applicant MUST submit a Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check. Must have a clean record.
· MUST have Class 5 Drivers License.
· Maybe subject to Drug Testing.
