Summary
The Caretaker cleans and maintains properties of the Samson Real Estate Division and it’s surrounding grounds. They perform a variety of handy man duties. The Caretaker reports to the Maintenance Supervisor of the Real Estate Division of Samson Management (2009) Ltd.
Position Requirements
· Wash windows
· Empty trash cans and other waste containers
· Sweep and wash walkways
· Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
· Cut grass and tend grounds
· Clean and Maintain Public Washrooms
· Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, water, and other refuse
· Make adjustments and/or minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems. Contact supervisor for major repairs.
· Perform other routine maintenance jobs and repair such as painting
· Ensure that security and safety measures are in place
· May advertise vacancies, show any available space to prospective tenants
· May assist other workers
· Use equipment/machinery to complete certain jobs (such as bobcat, tractor, snow blower, lawnmower, etc.)
· Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor
Position Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED
· And/or previous experience in general maintenance (ex. labour hand experience)
· Previous experience operating small equipment/machinery such as bobcats, tractors, snow blowers, lawnmowers, etc, an asset.
· Valid Driver’s License an asset but not required
· Criminal Record check must be provided by successful applicants

Employment Opportunity
This is a Regular Part-Time position with a three month probationary period. Continued employment is dependent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Wage Expectations: negotiable
