Career journeys bring us together
Our people are what make the fabric of our culture at CWB. But it’s finding the right mix of people and the diversity of perspectives that makes that fabric truly beautiful. Providing developmental opportunities that break down barriers and allow Indigenous individuals and individuals with disabilities access to fulfilling and meaningful careers that contribute to that fabric, is one way we’re looking to continue to grow our culture.
CWB is a full-service financial institution, and with that comes true variety in the types of career paths we offer. And on top of that, we have the attitude and culture that only comes with a history of entrepreneurism and serving passionate and dedicated business owners. To put it simply, we’re different than the other banks. And with that difference comes possibility, opportunity, and growth.
The opportunity
Through a term position as a Coordinator, this opportunity intends to provide developmental experiences designed to equip you with a foundation for a career in banking, human resources, communications, technology, operations, design or more. CWB is specifically seeking early career professionals or those looking to make a career change who self-identify as Indigenous and/or a person with visible or invisible disabilities for this opportunity.
The role will focus on developing key business skills to increase experience, autonomy, and complexity over the course of an 8 to 12-month term. The successful candidate will partner with experienced professionals across the business supporting the day-to-day operations, as an integral member of the team they are joining.
Benefitting from the support of mentors and advocates, Coordinators will have opportunities for formal and informal learning, coaching, and membership within diverse communities at CWB including Employee Represented Groups (ERGs) such as CWB Sharing Circle (Indigenous employees and allies) and CWB VIDA (Visible & Invisible Disability Advocates).
