The Wellness Manager will report directly to the Executive Director/Children’s Commissioner. The wellness manager, will develop health and wellness programs for the clients & staff of AMO Society. As a wellness manager, your duties include developing, implementing, and directing health and safety programming using your knowledge of health standards, safety protocols, and wellness principles. The wellness manager also sets training and education goals to increase the overall wellness of AMO Society. The Wellness Manager will also call upon Elders according to their experience in guidance, programming and all other aspects involving Elders
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred such as social work, physical or occupational therapy, kinesiology, or medicine.
· Three(3) – five (5) years of experience in the human services, health care field.
· Experience working with First Nations communities.
· Extensive experience in determining if policies align with objectives.
· Experience in preparing reports and presenting findings.
· Ability to facilitate connection to Nehiyaw traditional wellness practices and ceremony
· Experience in working with Elders.
Requirements:
· Certification/Diploma/Degree verification
· Three references letters (one from your previous employer)
· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, and provide a Driver’s abstract, and proof of two-million-dollar liability
· Reliable transportation, proof of registration & insurance of personal vehicle
· Child Welfare Check
· Criminal Record check
· Vulnerable Sector Screen.
